This Converse and Suicidal Tendencies collab is a must-cop collection

It’s amazing to think a Suicidal Tendencies hoodie is still a staple of the punk look, even though the band formed over 30 years ago. Heck, when Joan Of Arc‘s Tim Kinsella is still rocking one at shows, you know the classic hardcore act has transcended the scene and achieved max haute couture.

So it makes all the sense in the world that ubiquitous shoemaker Converse is hooking up with Suicidal main man Mike Muir for a co-branded line of clothing and Chuck Taylor kicks. Take a gander at some of the fly looks right here.

“I think I was 10, 11 or 12,” Muir now recalls of trying on his very first pair of Converse Chuck Taylors back in the day. “It’s one of those things that sells itself. You could identify with the shoes where we were from in California.”

The legitimately awesome-looking new Suicidal x Converse hoodies, shirts, shoes and more will be available at Converse.com and select retailers Oct. 7. And, yes, the clothing collab indeed features a “white shirt with long sleeves.”

But don’t think the new collection trades solely in nostalgia. “A lot of people always talk about the good old days,” Muir says. “My dad always said ‘don’t ever be like that,’ because when you’re talking about the old days, you are not in your time.”
