'Suicide Squad' director apologizes for "f*ck Marvel" comment

Suicide Squad made its world premiere Monday night in New York. At some point during the evening, director David Ayer repeated an attendee’s “f*ck Marvel” comment.

He later took to Twitter to apologize for his echoing of what was said. “Sorry about getting caught up in the moment and saying f*ck Marvel. Someone said it. I echoed. Not cool. Respect for my brother filmmakers.” 

Suicide Squad will make its official debut this Friday, Aug. 5. Current reports are predicting an opening weekend of somewhere between $130 and $140 million.
