The CW president discusses possible 'Supernatural' spinoffs
Would you like to see a Supernatural spinoff becoming reality? Sorry to deliver the bad news, but it might not happen.

The CW president Mark Pedowitz discussed the possibility of Supernatural spinoffs during a Television Critics Association panel.
According to ComicBook.com, Pedowitz talked about Bloodlines and Wayward Sisters, two projects that were not picked up by the network, explaining why a Supernatural spinoff would be unlikely.
“We were very happy with the women who were in Wayward Sisters.” Pedowitz said. “We had only a certain number of slots and it just didn’t get there. If there’s a great idea they want to go forward with, we’re here to listen.”
However, he believes the series success is solely based on the Winchester brothers. “Supernatural may be Jared and Jensen and there may not be a franchise beyond that,” he explained.
Supernatural Season 14
The news comes after the CW announced Supernatural‘s 14th season is going be a lot shorter than we’re used to. The forthcoming season will air only 20 episodes, which is three episodes less than the show’s normal 23-episode run.
Supernatural returns to the CW on Oct. 11 but details of the upcoming season have been pretty quiet, and a trailer shared during San Diego’s Comic Con didn’t reveal much of what’s to come.
However, it was previously reported that Jensen Ackles, who plays Dean Winchester on the show, would finally be playing a new character on the show, something that fans haven’t got to see from the actor in the show’s monstrous 13 seasons.
Our questions of who Ackles would be playing were answered during the show’s season 13 finale, when Dean accepted his fate as Michael’s vessel.
We’re not exactly sure what this means for the older Winchester brother. However, we’re pretty stoked to see what chaos his decision will cause! (Because, you know, there’s always chaos with the brothers.)
