SWMRS are teaming up with Vans for a good cause
SWMRS are taking part on a project created by Vans to support art education.
Drummer Joey Armstrong designed a pair of shoes to raise awareness about the program. Check them out below!

“KEEP MUSIC AND ART IN SCHOOLS. BE WEIRD,” he wrote on the band's Instagram account. “We’re teamin up with @Vans to support art education. I designed these shoes to let everyone know about their high school art program #VansCustomCulture.”
The musician also made sure everyone knows who created the design by stamping “Joey Armstrong strikes again” on it.
Vans Custom Culture is a high school customization competition that brings awareness to diminishing arts education budgets. “Vans believes everyone should be empowered to express themselves creatively and should be given the tools to do so,” the company website reads.
Registration is open until Jan. 31, and all public and private schools in the United States can participate.
Each participating institution will get the chance to customize two pairs of Vans shoes around two themes, Local Flavor and Off The Wall. The five best designs will be selected; the winner gets $75,000 for their art program and the four runner up schools will receive $10,000 each.
