Ozzfest to continue after Ozzy Osbourne quits touring

Despite Ozzy Osbourne's recent announcement that he'll hang up his traveling hat with the “No More Tours 2” tour, it looks like the annual Ozzfest will continue without the live presence of the festival's namesake performer.

As reported by Theprp.com, Sharon Osbourne confirmed the Ozzfest “will still go on” at a press conference for Ozzy's forthcoming farewell tour. (The “No More Tours 2” designation is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the fact that the musician has announced a “final” tour before.) In recent years, Ozzfest has combined with Slipknot's yearly Knotfest for Ozzfest Meets Knotfest, so it seems we can still look forward to a new version of that festival later this year.

And although Ozzy Osbourne's coming off the road, he's said it's not the end of the line for his live performances altogether. “I'm not retiring,” he told Rolling Stone. “It's 'No More Tours,' so I'm just not doing world tours anymore. I'm still going to be doing gigs, but I'm not going on tour for six months at a time anymore. I'd like to spend some time at home.”
