Vampire Weekend unveil "Vegetarian Weekend" taco for charity

Vampire Weekend are raising money for charity in a unique and tasty way — teaming up with a taco joint.

The indie rock band is working with HomeState, a Tex-Mex taco place in Los Angeles, to launch a taco for charity.

The taco is called the Vegetarian Weekend. It’s a vegetable fajita taco with shiitake mushrooms, bell peppers, guacamole, cotija cheese and cilantro.

The taco, which costs $5, just went on sale today through November at all three locations. Proceeds will be donated to the Los Angeles branch of PATH, people assisting the homeless.

The first five customers at each location who purchase the taco will be given a commemorative poster.

The restaurant tweeted about the special Vampire Weekend collab.

Vampire Weekend dropped their latest album Father Of The Bride in the spring. You can listen to that below.
