Acoustic version of metal “You’re A Mean One Mr. Grinch” cover will blow your mind, again

Following the viral success of their cover of “You’re A Mean One Mr. Grinch,” Small Town Titans are back with an acoustic version just in time for the holidays.

In a session with Loudwire, the viral metal band looks like they aren’t going anywhere anytime soon — And thank God for that.

Joined by bandmates Ben Guiles and Jonny Ross, frontman Phil Freeman’s vocals are as slick as ever. Armed with only two acoustic guitars and a drum box, the latest version adds a layer of grit, perfect for the aura of the film.

According to Loudwire, the band nailed the acoustic version in just one take. Check out the band’s outstanding performance below.

A few weeks ago, Small Town Titan’s version of the Grinch classic started to pick up some major speed. The cover truly unlike any other has garnered over 25 million views just on their Facebook page.

Small Town Titans are a rock trio from York, PA. The band say that they take influences from rock legends such as Foo Fighters, Audioslave and Deep Purple. You can check out the rest of their discography here.
