Well, folks, it has been one hell of an election week, right? The U.S. and the world all reacted to the news that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris secured enough votes from the Electoral College for a presidential win.

Biden and Harris experienced a historic win. The president-elect is the oldest person to hold the office, while the future VP is the first Black, South Asian American and woman to hold the position in the White House. Additionally, the two garnered more than 75 million votes, a record-breaking amount of ballots cast.

Donald Trump is one of the few incumbent presidents who did not win reelection. Additionally, he’s the only president in history to hold one term, lose the popular vote and be impeached.

Many political pundits expected a “blue wave” to arrive following Trump’s chaotic four years in the White House. The race was tighter than expected, but memes were created to show what Biden could say to make everyone vote for him. Our unbiased favorite is definitely this fake promise to bring back Warped Tour.

When we were all waiting on Nevada for days

If you know, you know. We were all on the edge of our seats waiting for Nevada to be called for Biden. This call would have perfectly set up Biden for victory as president with enough electoral votes to lock him into the 270 he needed. However, Pennsylvania was called for Biden, making him the 46th president of the United States. The joke was on us for waiting for Nevada for hours and days on end.

The contestants of The Great British Bake Off portray how everyone was refreshing their Twitter feeds and Google searches, waiting for more answers and numbers. We knew it would take more than one night to tally votes, but we still kept our eyes on CNN and AP as much as possible.

NBC correspondent Steve Kornacki is in love with math and politics, so Election Day (and week) has been his Super Bowl.
