10 binge-worthy TV shows you finally have time to watch

As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, we’re probably all watching more TV shows than we typically do. Practicing social distancing means spending a lot of time at home, so it’s natural for us to post up on the couch with an artillery of quarantine snacks on deck these days. 

To give you some inspiration, we’ve identified 10 binge-worthy shows that you finally have time to watch while you practice social distancing. There are some new shows, a few throwbacks and plenty of hours of amazing TV. Check them out below.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Time it would take to binge: about four days 

If you’ve never taken the time to watch Buffy The Vampire Slayer, what are you waiting for? The show has stood the test of time for a reason, and it’ll be a great new topic of conversation you will be well versed in if there ends up being a reboot. Plus, you can’t hate a show about a teenage vampire slayer. 

Glee

Time it would take to binge: about three-and-a-half days  

High-energy song and dance is just what we need to lift our spirits right now. Glee has covered some of the most recognizable pop songs ever and scene favorites such as Hey Monday (“Candles”), Paramore (“The Only Exception”), My Chemical Romance (“Sing”) the All-American Rejects (“Gives You Hell”) and No Doubt (“Don’t Speak”). However, the drama on the show is truly what makes it binge-worthy. 

The Office

It’s a great time to finally watch all the episodes of The Office from start to finish. Plus, it will make you laugh hysterically the entire time.

Supernatural

Binge-watching this show is a true commitment, but there’s no better time than in a period of social distancing to catch up before the series finale. Supernatural will also transport you to another world so you can forget about all the problems with this one. 

American Horror Story

Time it would take to binge: about three days

American Horror Story never disappoints, so if you haven’t seen every episode, now is your time. Creator Ryan Murphy has haunted our nightmares with each terrifying season. Also, a 10th season should be coming out soon, so you’ll be well prepared when it does.

Gilmore Girls

Time it would take to binge: about five days 

This is another throwback show that you just have to watch if you haven’t. Everyone loves Gilmore Girls and getting wrapped up in all of the early ’00s suburban drama. If anything, the show might help you slow down and relax. 

Rick And Morty

Time it would take to binge: over 15 hours  

Talk about forgetting your problems. This wacky animated show is guaranteed to immerse you and make you forget about everything that’s going on because it’s just so hilarious. Rick And Morty is also one of the easier shows on the list to binge-watch, so there’s really no excuse.

You is a show that’s impossible to not binge immediately because there are so many twists and turns. If you didn’t watch this when the second season dropped a few months ago, now is your time to catchup before season 3

Black Mirror

Time it would take to binge: about one day 

There have been a few jokes on Twitter about how this global pandemic feels like a Black Mirror episode, so it seems pretty fitting to watch right now. Each episode will have you on the edge of your seat with suspense. 

Recess

Where you can watch: Disney+
No. of seasons: six
Time it would take to binge: about two days

When the world feels uncertain and you’re stuck indoors, there’s nothing like Saturday morning cartoons and a big bowl of cereal to make you feel a sense of normalcy. Recess was one of our favorites back in the day, so it’s a good time to return to it.
