Back in June, Lourd and Rydell announced their engagement after four years of dating.

Now, the couple has added a new addition to their family. Lourd never publicly discussed her pregnancy and the couple managed to keep the news under the radar. However, this week, they announced the surprise birth of their son on Instagram. As well, Lourd revealed that their son’s name honors her late mother Carrie Fisher.

“Introducing Kingston Fisher Lourd Rydell.”

Carrie Fisher died in 2017 at the age of 60 following a heart attack. A day later, Fisher’s mother and Lourd’s grandmother actress Debbie Reynolds died of a stroke at 84.

Over the years, Lourd has appeared in Olivia Wilde‘s Booksmart and various Star Wars films alongside her late mother. Most recently, Lourd appeared in American Horror Story: 1984. She is confirmed to be returning for the next season of American Horror Story alongside Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and other series regulars.

Paulson recently revealed that production for the new AHS season begins this fall. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Ryan Murphy confirmed earlier this year that production had been postponed.

Rydell is an actor and producer and has credited roles in Nickelodeon‘s Unfabulous and NFL GameDay.

Congratulations to the couple on their son!
