Chris Adler Megadeth drum kit lost in Betraying The Martyrs van fire

While we’re still getting over former Lamb Of God drummer Chris Adler exiting the band, it turns out there’s more tragic Adler news.

The drummer performed with Megadeth a few years ago and apparently, the drum kit he used on their album Dystopia was burned after Betraying The Martyrs van caught fire.

To backtrack, Betraying The Martyrs had to cancel their North American tour after their van’s trailer caught fire.

The band and crew members are safe but they’ve taken a serious financial hit with their equipment being destroyed.

Vocalist Aaron Matts says the loss of their things is extremely heartbreaking but ultimately the singer was just happy everyone was safe.

“We’re all shaken by what has happened this morning. We’re well but very heartbroken that all we have worked hard to accumulate over the years, both in musical equipment, and personal belongings has been lost in a matter of minutes. I’m grateful that we have our health, each other, and were able to walk away with the clothes on our backs. We are extremely sorry to have missed another opportunity to play for those that were looking forward to see us. We’ll bounce back and we’ll see you soon. Thank you,” the post reads.

The band’s manager also posted a video of the trailer burning which you can see in the player below.

As it turns out, the drum kit that was in the van when it caught fire was one that Adler lent them before they went on the tour. Unfortunately, that relic of an instrument is gone forever after the equipment was damaged.
