Circle Jerks and Descendents cover each other on new limited seven-inch

Circle Jerks and Descendents are both veterans of California punk, and now they have covered some of each other’s classic songs for a limited-edition split seven-inch via Trust Records.

Descendents tackle Circle Jerks’ “Red Tape,” “I Just Want Some Skank,” and “Beverly Hills,” while Circle Jerks take on Descendents “Kabuki Girl” and “Hope.” The split is only available on vinyl, but they did make a funny vintage-style commercial called “YOU GOT YOUR DESCENDENTS IN MY CIRCLE JERKS” that stars Milo Aukerman, Keith Morris, rock photographer Edward Colver, skateboarder Steve Olson, and Ian Svenonius, among others, and gives a sneak peek of the split. It was created by The Times, and you can check that out below. The seven-inch is currently sold out.

The split comes ahead of Descendents and Circle Jerks’ mostly sold-out co-headlining tour, which begins in Tempe, Arizona tomorrow (March 15) and includes support from Adolescents. The tour wraps up in the NYC area with shows at New Jersey’s Starland Ballroom on April 12 and Brooklyn Paramount on April 13. See the full list of dates here.
