YouTube has its fair share of odd and off-the-wall videos, and having a sad clown cover My Chemical Romance’s “Helena” is truly one of the most bizarre.

But it’s not just any sad clown—it’s Puddles, you know, the sad clown that performed on America’s Got Talent?

This is by no means Puddles’ first cover, performing plenty of covers, including Lorde’s “Royals” on the talent competition.

The video description explains that Puddles performed the song to a crowd of “1,000 of LA’s finest pity partiers” at EMO Nite LA where they had “many sadgasms.” Oh, and he explains that he wasn’t trying to create a “better” version of the song—he just loves MCR and wanted to give the song a nice cover.

And as unexpected as it might be, we actually kind of love it.

If you’re looking for something “Helena”-related that’s equally out-there, remember the time a girl showed up to prom in a hearse and coffin? Yep, it was a bit bizarre, but it’s basically a “Helena”-inspired dream.
