'Deadpool 2’ director has “crazy ideas” for a third movie

The director of Deadpool 2 has some crazy ideas for a third film in the franchise now that Disney bought 21st Century Fox.

The merger means that the series could now possibly become a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

A third movie has yet to be officially confirmed, but it’s pretty likely that it will happen.

Earlier this year, Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld tweeted that a third movie was happening.

Then, when the merger first occurred, Disney confirmed the franchise wasn’t going anywhere.

Disney chairman Alan Horn spoke at a presentation at CinemaCon in Las Vegas back in April.

“You’ll be seeing more of Deadpool in the years to come,” he said.

During the presentation, Horn showed a tweet from Ryan Reynolds, who played the titular character. Reynolds tweeted a joke about the merger after it was announced featuring his character on a school bus sporting Mickey Mouse ears.

“Feels like the first day of ‘Pool,” the tweet reads.

Now, David Leitch, who directed the second film, has opened up about his “crazy ideas” for how the next film could be incorporated into the MCU.

“In everybody’s world, everybody wants to make it,” he told Comicbook.com “So, if I was ever approached to make Deadpool 3, my answer would be, ‘Hell yes,’ but I think there’s a lot of things going on in the shake up with Fox and Disney and where that whole Marvel world after Endgame is gonna be. When the dust settles, let’s hope that Deadpool lives. That’s kind of ironic, right?”

Then, he went on to talk about his ideas more, but kept it vague.

“I have a lot of ideas, but I’m keeping them close to my vest so, if they ever come and I’m grateful enough for them to call, I can share all my crazy ideas,” he said.

It looks like they will just have to make Deadpool 3 so we can see what it’d look like.

Taylor Swift dropped a music video for her new song “You Need To Calm Down” featuring plenty of LGBTQ+ pride, a few of our scene favorites and a little appearance from Deadpool

First, Swift dropped the track and announced that a star-studded video was coming.

“Asked a few friends to be in the You Need To Calm Down video,” Swift wrote. Those friends included Ryan Reynolds, Adore Delano, Adam Lambert and several other notable LGBTQ+ celebrities, drag queens and more.

In the video, Ryan Reynolds seems to make a nod at his Deadpool character when he’s shown painting a colorful scene very quickly in the video. You can see some reactions below.

As we know, Swift is a big fan of the movie. She went as the character for Halloween, even borrowing Reynolds’ real suit. Also, let’s not forget when her cats made a celebrity appearance in Deadpool 2.

Reynolds’ appearance could be a nod to when Deadpool dressed up as Bob Ross and did a little painting. You can see that video below.

It could be possible that the actor is paying homage to artist Norman Rockwell and teasing Deadpool 3 in the process. One fan made this connection on Twitter.

“Rockwell’s imagery is often used by bigots to show the “old” and “good” America, however, that is a distortion of his legacy,” the fan wrote.
