More on Harry Potter

It’s going on 10 years since Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows – Part 2 hit theaters and officially marked the end of the film series we grew up with. Now, Rupert Grint has finally revealed if he is still open to reprising his role as Ron Weasley in future films.

During a recent interview with ComicBook, the new dad revealed he is still open to reprising his role as Ron Weasley in future films. However, for him to sign on for more movies, the time would have to be right.

“I don’t know,” he says. “I mean, never say never, I would never say, ‘Absolutely no.’ It was a huge part of my life, and I’m very fond of that character and their stories. So yeah, I mean, I’d be up for it at the right time. I don’t know what capacity that would be, but yeah, we’ll see.”

At this time, there are no public plans to put out more films in the Harry Potter franchise. Currently, filming for the third installment of Fantastic Beasts is underway. However, Fantastic Beasts 3 has been hit with plenty of controversies since production resumed in the fall of 2020.
