'Furious 7' director reportedly set to produce 'Mortal Kombat' reboot film

Mortal Kombat will see a new film adaptation set to hit theaters in the next few years, and box office gold-streak director James Wan (Furious 7, Saw, the upcoming Aquaman) is reportedly involved. However, Wan will not be directing the effort. Instead, Wan will reportedly produce the upcoming reboot.

According to a new report from the Tracking Board, James Wan will produce the new Mortal Kombat film, which will feature “darker, brutally real martial arts.” Sounds like the film will be pretty accurate to the source material.
