Gracie Abrams announced her debut album 'Good Riddance' is coming very soon

Last year may have been a huge year for Gracie Abrams when she joined Olivia Rodrigo on tour, but it looks like 2023 is shaping up to be an even bigger year for her — her year at that.

Today, the singer-songwriter took to social media to announce the release of her debut album, Good Riddance. The record, which will be released on Interscope Records, is due out Feb. 24. Ahead of the full-length release, Abrams is also dropping the lead single, “Where do we go now?,” this Friday, Jan. 13, and shared a slate of tour dates, in addition to her upcoming dates on the Taylor Swift Eras Tour.

According to a post that Abrams shared on Instagram to celebrate the news, she collaborated with Aaron Dessner — who’s known for playing in the National and famously collaborated with Taylor Swift on records like folklore and evermore — on it. The two are teaming up yet again, as he helped co-write and co-produce much of her 2021 EP, This Is What It Feels Like. On their creative partnership, she wrote that in making the record he reminded her that “holding space for brutal honesty in songwriting is kind of the whole point,” and said, “He is one of the very few people in this world capable of making others feel safe to their core when they are exploring the parts of themselves that are most raw.”

Of the release, she also said, “I feel an unbelievable amount of gratitude for the opportunity to have made this album. Writing this record allowed me to grow up in ways I needed to. It forced me to reflect and be accountable. It allowed me to walk away from versions of myself that I no longer recognized. It allowed me to let go.”
