Time & Distance- Gravity

Gravity

Though the album might have more hooks than a meat locker, Time And Distance’s Gravity begins to slide unwaveringly into predictability after the second track. What starts as well thought-out and catchy pop quickly turns into a game of “Wait, didn’t I just hear this song?” At the same time, the band force into the mix a few formulaic ballads that the album could have done without. But the core of the album is built around strong vocal melodies, adept musicianship and solid song structures. Time And Distance have an ear for writing pop songs executed with precision. Though Gravity might seem pasted together, there’s merit that shows through the cracks, and like a fish following a flashy lure, it’s easy to get caught in the hooks.
