Lil Peep stood out with relatable lyrics, often blending hip-hop flow with samples of his favorite emo and pop-punk artists. November marks the release of his 2018 posthumous album, Come Over When You’re Sober, Pt. 2, featuring single “Falling Down.”
In celebration of Peep and his brilliant creative force, we want to pay homage by examining some of hip-hop’s greatest use of scene and rock songs. Peep was a huge alt fan and sampled Real Friends, Underoath, Thirty Seconds To Mars and more in his tracks.

Post Malone recently opened up about his tattoos, including the few he has on his face. Along with getting an accidental Marshmello tattoo, the rapper also reveals which piece was inspired by late artist Lil Peep.
Posty is well-known for his face ink, recently getting a hammer, a bloody buzzsaw and a giant gauntlet with a flail on his face in the span of just two months. In a March interview with GQ, he broached the topic of his face tattoos with a bit of self-deprecating humor.

“It does maybe come from a place of insecurity, to where I don’t like how I look. So, I’m going to put something cool on there so I can look at myself and say, ‘You look cool, kid.’ And have a modicum of self-confidence, when it comes to my appearance,” Malone says.
Malone goes into a little more detail of the reasoning behind his tattoos including making goof on the promise of getting a sword on his face.

He also says Lil Peep’s “Crybaby” tattoo inspired his own “Stay Away” tattoo above his eyebrow. “I thought it was tough as shit,” he says. “I picked one of my favorite Nirvana songs and just put it on my face.”
He goes on to reveal the other ideas behind his artwork, such as the card on his forehead, his accidental Marshmello piece and “Always Tired” below his eyes. Watch the full interview here.
