Kitty (Pryde) announces collaboration with The Ready Set, leaks new track, "285"

Kitty (the rapper formerly known as Kitty Pryde) has revealed that she is working on a song with The Ready Set. Additionally, Kitty leaked a separate new track, “285,” earlier this week.

“285,” which was produced by PinkiePieSwear, pays tribute to recently closed Brooklyn, N.Y. venue 285 Kent, and is expected to appear on Kitty's forthcoming full-length debut. The album, which is expected to be called Flowerviolence, and was recently delayed from its intended winter release date, will follow a series of EPs and mixtapes, including last year's D.A.I.S.Y. Rage.

Check out announcements from Kitty and The Ready Set below, and keep an eye out for their collaboration in the coming months. Whether it will appear on Kitty's album, The Ready Set's album, or both is unclear.

Kitty, who formerly performed as Kitty Pryde, first generated buzz in 2012 after self-releasing the song “Okay Cupid” online. The rapper quickly gained recognition, and has gone on to collaborate with artists such as Riff Raff, Hot Sugar, and Danny Brown. She has appeared on Adult Swim, earned a 2013 MTV O Music Award, and has developed a following for her writing around the web, notably on VICE.

The Ready Set, who also has a new album in the works, will appear on this summer's Vans Warped Tour.
