QUIZ: Do you know the lyrics to My Chemical Romance’s “Teenagers”?

My Chemical Romance superfans have something to celebrate May 30—the 13th anniversary of the band’s release of the “Teenagers” music video.

There’s no other way to describe it than angst. When we saw this The Black Parade era video for the first time in 2007, we felt seen and had an undeniable desire to run outside and wreak havoc with our friends in any way possible.

Now it’s 13 years later. My Chemical Romance are a band again and would be embarking on more shows across the globe if it weren’t for the coronavirus pandemic. Needless to say, it’s not where we expected to be 13 years ago, but at least we can still jam out to the same music.

More on My Chemical Romance

Earlier this month, we got to hear MCR’s “I’m Not Okay (I Promise)” in the style of Animal Crossing’s resident musician K.K. Slider. More recently, we’ve gotten to see what a remake of the music video would look like in the game.

YouTuber Mika Schmeling used the remix made by SuuKool and recreated the track’s music video within the game itself.

The cover came complete with remixed artwork, a new song title and band name. It features the simple and straightforward sounds K.K. Slider has been making since the beginning of the video game’s franchise. You can watch the iconic remake here

As of now, MCR will return to life on the road with a North American tour beginning Sept. 9 in Detroit, with U.K. and European dates postponed to 2021 due to the pandemic.
