'MythBusters' co-host reveals a stunt that isn't allowed on the show

MythBusters co-host Jamie Hyneman recently spoke with Uproxx on a stunt that, for whatever reason, isn’t allowed on the show. He explains a previous stunt they executed, which involved a baseball player hanging his arm out a train that is traveling one way, and then having him throw a ball in the opposite direction. That myth was confirmed, but Hyneman wants to take it to a whole new level. “I have this concept of building this reverse-facing slingshot outside of a bus,” he explains. “You would just press the trigger and it would go off, so you would end up—bang—on the side of the road, dead still. For some reason they won’t let me do it. I think we could get it past the insurance people. For some reason, Adam or the executive producer of the show doesn’t seem to be interested in it.”

Sounds intriguing, but I can see why an executive would pass on it.

Tune in to Discovery Saturday, September 5 at 9:00 p.m. EST. to watch this season’s final episode of MythBusters.
