Polling places ran out of "I Voted" stickers so voters made their own
Today marked a very important day in the US: voting day. Which meant that many people went out to the polls to cast their votes for this year’s midterms.
As we’ve reported, this election has seen companies offering free pizza and concert tickets to those who vote to Taylor Swift voicing her opinion on people voting. With all these things being pushed in hopes of getting a high voter turnout, it appears that all the hard work paid off.

A new article posted by Buzzfeed has found that as voters went to their assigned voting places, some were in for a bit of a surprise when some of the voting polls ran out of the “I Voted” stickers.
No, really.
Just ask Every Time I Die‘s frontman Keith Buckley, who took to Twitter to share the news that his facility was one of the places that ran out of the picture-worthy sticker:
“My wife and I were told this morning that there was not enough money in the state budget to provide our polling place with “I voted” stickers. it’s almost poetic.”

Of course, Buckley isn’t the only one who has taken to Twitter to share the news of the shortage of “I Voted” stickers.
Taking to Twitter, some people decided to take matters into their own hands, where they created their own stickers to celebrate their votes:

My polling place ran out of those oval “I voted” stickers so they gave out these hand drawn post-its instead. pic.twitter.com/2yKYBVHVqL

They ran out of stickers so I had to make my own. If you don’t get the sticker, then you voted incorrectly. Bottom line, GET TO THE POLLS AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE ???????? #Election2018 #BeAVoter pic.twitter.com/P1gnJG6tuU
