Princess Leia's metal bikini from 'Star Wars' sells for $96K at auction

A costume from one of Star Wars' most iconic scenes has sold for a great deal of money at auction. The metal bikini worn by Princess Leia during her stint as a slave for Jabba the Hutt in Return Of The Jedi has sold at auction for $96k, says CNN Money.

The bikini started at $80k at auction and ended selling $16k over the entry point. The sale included Leia's collar from the same scene as well as several chains and a letter of authenticity from designer Richard Miller.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens will make its long-awaited debut in theaters on December 18.
