Reading & Leeds announce the first wave of bands for 2021

Due to coronavirus, Reading & Leeds were forced to postpone its 2020 festival to 2021. Now, the U.K.-based event has announced the first wave of acts performing in 2021.

Next year’s lineup includes Post Malone, FEVER 333, Liam Gallagher, Catfish and The Bottlemen, Queens Of The Stone Age and more.

Reading & Leeds 2021 is taking place on Aug. 27-29, 2021. For the first time ever, there will be two main stages, Main Stage East and Main Stage West. As well, there will be no scheduling clashes so you can watch all of next year’s headliners without having to choose.

The new mainstage addition means that Reading & Leeds 2021 will have six headliners. Liam Gallagher, Stormzy, Post Malone, Disclosure, Queens Of The Stone Age and Catfish and The Bottlemen are all hitting the mainstages next year.

Along with them, FEVER 333, Lewis Capaldi, Two Door Cinema Club, Ashnikko, Beabadoobee and Doja Cat are among the artists booked for the 2021 festival. Reading & Leeds plan to announce even more artists over the next few months.

General tickets for Reading & Leeds 2021 go on sale Thursday, Sept. 3. More information on next year’s event is available here.

Back in May, Reading & Leeds announced that it was postponing its 2020 festival due to safety concerns amid the pandemic. The festival was originally scheduled for Aug. 28-30, 2020.

“We’ve been closely monitoring this unprecedented situation,” the statement said. “And we were hopeful we could deliver the ultimate festival to you in August. Something to look forward to in these strange and confusing times. However, it’s become clear that it’s just not possible for this year’s festival to go ahead.”
