Revolution Rock festival canceled due to "circumstances beyond their control"

Another day, another canceled festival.

Revolution Rock 2017, which was slated to feature Five Finger Death Punch, Halestorm, Shinedown and more, is off, and we're honestly not quite sure why.

The rock music festival was set for September 8 and 9 in Mashantucket, CT. Read the full statement from the festival below:

“Revolution Rock Festival producers announced today that, due to circumstances beyond their control, the festival has been canceled this year. The event was to be held outdoors at Foxwoods Resort Casino on September 8-9, 2017.

'We offer our sincerest apologies to the artists that were set to perform and to the fans that were planning on attending Revolution Rock this year,' commented festival co-producers AEG Presents and Foxwoods Resort Casino. 'Our hope is to recalibrate and return in 2018 with an even better festival experience for the incredible rock fans of New England.'

Refunds will be offered to all ticket purchasers beginning today at 5:00 PM and will be initiated by the ticketing company.”

Revolution Rock joins the ranks of Karoondinha and Fort Fest in canceled festivals—both of which were attributed to low ticket sales. But hey, as long as it's not another Fyre Festival, right?

Are you sad to see Revolution Rock go—for this year, at least? Let us know in the comments.
