Shudder is the ultimate destination for all of you horror, thriller and suspense movie buffs out there. As the top streaming service for all of your scary movie needs, Shudder has decided to celebrate Halloween for two whole months this year.
From Sept. 1 to Oct. 31, the streaming service is premiering various new films and programs. Shudder GM Craig Engler also teases that a surprise at the end of the month “will have horror fans everywhere talking.”
“We usually call October our ‘Super Bowl month’ but this year we’re starting on September 1st, so the 61 Days of Halloween will be our Super Bowl combined with Mardi Gras and Christmas,” Engler says in a press release.
The full lineup for Shudder’s 61 Days of Halloween hasn’t been revealed yet. However, some great films and specials have already been announced for the two-month celebration.
Richard Stanley’s Lovecraft adaptation Color Out Of Space kicks things off on Sept. 1, with new content dropping weekly. The Last Drive-In With Joe Bob Briggs Halloween special [working title] arrives Oct. 23 and Timo Tjahjanto’s May The Devil Take You Too premieres Oct. 29.
