Back in October, massive news was announced when it was revealed that Metallica would headline five Danny Wimmer Presents festivals in 2020 with special sets across two nights. Those festivals were  Epicenter, Welcome To Rockville, Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival, Louder Than Life and Aftershock.

Unfortunately, Metallica pulled out of Sonic Temple and Louder than Life to focus on James Hetfield’s recovery, but stressed they would be appearing at the other three. Shortly after, Sonic Temple announced Red Hot Chili Peppers and Tool as replacement headliners for Friday and Sunday, with Slipknot at the top of the bill for Saturday.
