For the love of God, please watch this super-gay, ‘Riverdale’-inspired music video

Tancred dropped the best music video of all time today. Jess Abbott, the mastermind behind Tancred, saluted one of her favorite television shows with her own touch of flair.

Not only is “Something Else” a fun, upbeat indie-rock banger, Tancred’s flamboyant take on the modern cult-classic TV show Riverdale is nothing less than iconic.

This bad boy has everything a gay Riverdale-inspired music video needs: lesbian Bughead, Potty Mouth as Josie And The Pussycats and moody lighting. Check out the masterpiece below.

Jess and I wanted to pay tribute to the stylized, teen dream melodramas we love, from Riverdale to Twin Peaks,” director Jason Lester says. “The giddy feeling of attraction represented by TV’s archetypes of youth, cotton candy colors and often repressed sexuality felt perfectly in sync with Tancred’s swooning track.”

“Something Else” is from Tancred’s latest album Nightstand, which was released this past year via Polyvinyl records. Abbott’s performance on “Something Else” locks in the cohesiveness of Nightstand with finesse and creativity. You can get your copy of Nightstand here.

Additionally, Tancred will be hitting the road this fall with fellow indie heartthrobs Kississippi and the Joy Formidable. Check out a full list of dates below and pick up your tickets here.
