Terminally ill Foo Fighters fan didn’t even see Dave Grohl coming

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has earned a reputation as one of the nicest guys in rock music—and rightfully so!

Longtime Foo fan Ken Powell was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2009. After a canceled meet-and-greet (due to Dave Grohl getting food poisoning), Powell missed out on a chance to meat the band in his home city of Perth, Australia.

According to Loudwire, Powell is  “attempting to finish a bucket list of things he wants to do before he passes and among them is meeting Dave Grohl, the frontman of his favorite band.”

Well, Good Guy Grohl strikes again. After the Foos learned of Powell’s story, he received a photo of Grohl holding a note that read “Hi Ken”—and, more importantly, he received a bunch of FF souvenirs and VIP tickets to the band’s upcoming Los Angeles Gig.

Powell is currently trying to raise money to cover his travel costs to get to LA. You can visit his fundraising page here.

If you missed it, watch what Grohl recently did for a blind fan.
