The Maine drummer Pat Kirch welcomes first child with wife Shacara

The Maine drummer Pat Kirch married his longtime partner Shacara Nemetz at the start of 2020. Kirch and Nemetz announced their engagement in April 2019 and followed up the news in September by revealing they’re expecting their first child together.

In early February, Kirch announced he’d be sitting out the band’s Europe and U.K. tour with his longtime friend and Katastro drummer Andrew Stravers filling in as he awaits the baby’s arrival. Now, the couple has announced their first child was born at the end of February on Leap Day.

Nemetz shared additional images of Charlotte Rose with a sweet caption about their Leap Day baby.

“Charlotte Rose made her way into our world as a special leap year baby on 2/29 ♥️♥️ didn’t know I could love this much.”
