YouTube has removed a new trailer for the upcoming horror flick, The Nun, after violating the site’s “violent and shocking content” policy.

After dropping the six-second teaser on YouTube, which shows a volume sign increasing and then decreasing until the titular nun actually appears on screen, one Twitter user quickly took to the site to issue a trigger warning.

Issuing a warning to anyone who has “anxiety or just straight up hate jump scares,” the user advised people to look away or turn down the volume of the teaser if it appears while watching a video.

YouTube quickly responded to the user, where they shared that the video violated their shocking content policy and that they would be taking it down.

Per YouTube’s violent and shocking content in ads policy, things such as “gruesome imagery,” ads with “the intention of shock or scare” and “shots of violence or gore” at the forefront of the scene are all things that go against policy.

While the ad may not go entirely against the company’s policy, the jump scare element lines up with the “intention of shock or scare,” which prompted YouTube to immediately take it down.

The first trailer for The Nun officially dropped a few months ago, and it is pretty scary.

Set to be a prequel to the other four films in the franchise (which includes The Conjuring and Annabelle films) the film will star American Horror Story star Taissa Farmiga, who just so happens to be the younger sister of Vera Farmiga aka Lorraine Warren in the Conjuring series.

The film is also set to star Demian Bichir, Jonas Bloquet, Charlotte Hope, Ingrid Bisu and Bonnie Aarons.

The film’s official synopsis reads:

“When a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate.”

It continues on to say:

“Together they uncover the order’s unholy secret. Risking not only their lives but their faith and their very souls, they confront a malevolent force in the form of the same demonic nun that first terrorized audiences in ‘the Conjuring 2,’ as the abbey becomes a horrific battleground between the living and the damned.”

The Nun will have you “praying for forgiveness” when it hits theaters on Sept. 7!
