Speaking on The Tonight Show, the Buzz Lightyear actor told Jimmy Fallon that Pixar “will surprise you with the toys they came up with. Characters came back, new guys in it that are great. Keanu Reeves has got a great part.”

That’s right! Looks like The Matrix and John Wick actor Keanu Reeves will be making his voice acting debut in 2019. A massive departure from his usual action-packed roles.

Although we have yet to learn exactly which or what kind of toy character Reeves will play, Allen has hinted that he’s a particularly small toy.

“Actually, a little inside story [about Reeves]: Even he said — gentle, wonderful guy that he is — ‘This sounds too much like Buzz Lightyear,” Allen explained.

“And his character does have an edge to that. And the guy said, ‘So we calmed him down a little bit,’ and they reminded me his toy is only that big.”

While there’s only one Buzz, sounds like Reeves’ character has an intense personality for his small size. We can’t wait to see who he is!

Reeves isn’t the only star-studded addition to the Toy Story cast. Tony Hale’s Forky was introduced in the film’s first teaser, before the second trailer debuted comedians Key & Peele as Ducky & Bunny.

Toy Story 4 hits theaters June 21, 2019, and we can’t wait.

What we know so far

The anticipated Toy Story 4 was first announced back in 2015. But, along with a director switch since its initial unveiling, the previously leaked plotline has changed completely in the time moviegoers have been waiting for new adventures from the cartoon cast voiced by Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and the late Don Rickleswho played Mr. Potato Head.

According to a new synopsis, a “road trip adventure” takes place in Part 4. And it’s all instigated by the addition of Forky, an anthropomorphized non-toy plaything thrown in by Bonnie! (And voiced by none other than Arrested Development and Veep‘s Tony Hale.)

Woody’s journey in the film also includes a visit to a carnival, where he meets Ducky and Bunny. The stuffed animals are two carnival prizes eager to be won, whose plans are interrupted by Woody and co. According to the description, the duo ends up “on an unexpected adventure with a group of toys who have no idea what it feels like to be tacked to a prize wall.”
