John O'Callaghan joins alt-rock trio WEATHERS on their latest single "ALL CAPS"

The next time you feel like you were unnecessarily left on read or someone is “fucking with your head” online, you might just want to reply with the latest track from WEATHERS.

The Los Angeles-based alt-rock trio dropped their latest single “ALL CAPS” today, along with the news that their latest album Are We Having Fun? is due out May 5 on Sumerian Records. Despite diving into toxic relationship dynamics and how they transfer to our habits on and offline, it’s a sleek, danceable pop-rock anthem. The group collaborated with John the Ghost, AKA John O’Callaghan from beloved alternative band the Maine on the track, finding him both co-producing the sleek, danceable track and singing on several verses, including the very first one.

About the collaboration, WEATHERS frontman Cameron Boyer said in a press release, “We jumped at the opportunity to work with producer/singer John O’Callaghan (aka John the Ghost). We are big fans and so working together was a trip. After some time soul searching for what this song would sound like, the end result we landed on has a lot of attitude that we didn’t expect to finish with. One of the biggest obstacles was deciding where John would sing. I felt like most projects like this have the featured artist start singing in the second verse. But for me, while it’s a Weathers song, I wanted to throw listeners off and start with John’s voice. He’s got such a unique tone and I thought it would draw listeners in right off the bat and make them go ‘Oh, shit?’ In a good way.”
