Winnetka Bowling League release catchy alt-pop single "Sha La La"

Rising LA band Winnetka Bowling League have unveiled their first new music of 2024, the wistfully catchy alt-pop track “Sha La La.” It’s the latest in a stream of singles and EPs the trio have released over the past few years, starting with their self-titled 2018 EP.

About the song, frontman Matthew Koma says, “‘Sha La La’ is a song about getting older, romanticizing the past, and forgetting all the imperfections that accompanied the highlights. It’s really easy for me to look back and wish I could relive certain moments because time and distance have allowed them to be polished and refined. It’s funny how you can create this false memory of how things were, almost only for the purpose of making you feel terrible about the here and now.”

The band will support Waterparks on a couple of California shows this spring. See their upcoming dates, plus the video for “Sha La La,” directed by Zack Sekuler, below.
