The Yankees and My Chemical Romance is the collab we never knew we needed

Emo fans and baseball fans unite: the Yankees have released a hype video for Opening Day and it features a My Chemical Romance classic.

The MLB shared an emotional two-minute visual featuring fans returning to Yankee Stadium — families and friends, parents taking their kids, kids high-fiving one another in baseball jerseys — all to the tune of the emo outfit’s 2006 anthem “Welcome to the Black Parade.”

In-between the My Chem track, a voiceover drums up excitement for the return of the Yankees: “For generations, raucous cheers have risen from the Bronx. Full-throated crowds lifting players to become legends. Time marches on but the games continue.”

Also featured in the visual is historical game and crowd footage from Yankees games throughout the years. Eventually, footage of the Yankees celebrating their wins hits the screen during “Welcome to the Black Parade’s” grand finale.
