“I wanted to come by and just chill with everyone at AP, because you guys were so good to me over the years.” Aww, thanks, Scott!

Stapp also chats with our hosts Keith Buckley (Every Time I Die) and Stapp's Another Century labelmate Ash Costello (New Years Day) about his new project Art Of Anarchy.

“Some of the members are John Moyer, bass player from Disturbed, Ron Bumblefoot, formerly of Guns N' Roses and the Votta brothers,” he says, describing a string of talent you may have never expected to hear in the same breath. “We've got a single coming out in October and a record dropping next year.”

“It is a perfect mixture of all the bands each member has come from. So, it's like Disturbed meets Guns N' Roses, meets Creed.”

Dang.

Scott Stapp to replace Scott Weiland in Art Of Anarchy https://www.altpress.com/scott_stapp_to_replace_scott_weiland_in_art_of_anarchy/ Wed, 04 May 2016 02:34:00 +0000 https://www.altpress.com/scott_stapp_to_replace_scott_weiland_in_art_of_anarchy/ Yesterday Stone Temple Pilots made a statement clarifying that Creed singer Scott Stapp was not replacing the band's recently deceased singer Scott Weiland, after rumors spread following a recent interview with Stapp about a new project. Today Stapp has come forward with further clarification that he is replacing Scott Weiland in one facet, not in Stone Temple Pilots, but rather in Weiland's other 2015 project Art Of Anarchy. This announcement was originally slated for July, but was made public early to end all speculations on Stapp's new mystery project. You can read Stapp's full statement on this news below.

What's up, Stapp here, I wanted to clarify any confusions on STP and my comment. First off, Scott Weiland in STP is irreplaceable. I was recently asked what I'm currently working on in an interview and could not reveal details or announce this new project. This led the interviewer to assume it was STP and he eagerly kept asking for more details. Evidently my response caused confusion.

I'm excited to share I've been working with Art Of Anarchy band whose members are Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, formerly of Guns N Roses, John Moyer of Disturbed and Jon and Vince Votta. Original announcement was slated for July along with our first single and album to follow but happy to share this announcement sooner to clarify.

Art Of Anarchy is the project that I was referring to in the interview not STP. Scott Weiland was a part of Art of Anarchy and that's the six degrees of separation I was referring to. Always been a fan of STP and I wish them all the best in their search for a new singer.

Allow me to introduce Art Of Anarchy. Stay tuned
