The festival was taking place from May 22 to 24 but will be pushed off for a full year after coordinating with state, local and federal health authorities.

Described as “America’s Biggest Memorial Day Weekend Party,” the three-day festival occurs at the Pryor Creek Music Festival Grounds in Pryor Creek, Oklahoma.

This year’s lineup included headlining acts Five Finger Death PunchSlipknot and Staind. Other notable bands who were performing include Motionless In Whitethe Pretty RecklessPapa RoachHalestorm, I Prevail and more.

Today, the festival had to break the news to attendees they will not be able to host the event this year.

Rocklahoma ticket holders will have the option to get a full refund or transfer their passes over to 2021. You can see their announcement post and read their statement below.

“This is tough. For thirteen straight years Rocklahoma has been America’s Biggest Memorial Day Party. Not being able to bring it to you for year fourteen breaks our hearts, but it is the right thing to do. At the direction of state and local authorities and federal guidelines amid the COVID-19 pandemic, we are so f’ing bummed to announce that Rocklahoma will be postponed to 2021.

We raise our glasses to you, our fans. Every single damn year you show up. You rock out in Pryor. You build a community of die-hard rock fans and open your doors to your neighbors in the campgrounds. We can’t wait to get to work on 2021 and deliver the best weekend possible to you.

All Rocklahoma 2020 pass holders who purchased passes through our official ticket provider, Elevate, will have the ability to transfer their pass to 2021 or receive a full refund. Pass holders will receive an email outlining the refund and transfer process on Wednesday, April 8. If you do not receive an email or have any questions, please contact Festival Ticketing Support by emailing [email protected]. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9:00AM – 6:00PM CST.”

Countless events in music and the entertainment industry as a whole have been cancelled or postponed over the past month particularly.

Current U.S. gathering restrictions limit people to groups of ten or less across the majority of the country. While most organizations are attempting to follow these guidelines for the safety of the public, others are still skirting the rules.

The three-day festival occurs at the Pryor Creek Music Festival Grounds in Pryor Creek, Oklahoma. Described as “America’s Biggest Memorial Day Weekend Party,” Rocklahoma is set to take place on Friday, May 22-24.

The bands announced are sure to please every type of rock fans. Headliners include Five Finger Death Punch, Slipknot and Staind, Other notable acts are Motionless In White, the Pretty Reckless, Papa Roach, Halestorm and I Prevail.

Rocklahoma 2020 will continue its spring rock extravaganza for its 14th year in May. With three stages on which new and classic acts perform, onsite camping amenities and unparalleled VIP packages, Rocklahoma lives up to its motto of “Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Rock.”

Speaking on Rocklahoma 2020, producer Mike DuCharme touched on what fans can expect this year.

“Rocklahoma festival IS Pride, Culture and Community! Our fans grew up coming here and now their kids are following suit,” DuCharme says. “We share their same enthusiasm and vision and have worked hard to make sure there was something for everyone.”

“We are excited to have Slipknot make their first festival appearance, surrounded by several returning fan favorites including Five Finger Death Punch, Staind and Papa Roach, plus a few that helped build the history of the event like Anthrax, Halestorm and Warrant. Fans can expect further improvements to the site and experience in 2020. Get ready to rock as this year promises to be another weekend-long party!”

World’s Loudest Month festival series have announced their 2018 event dates for some of the biggest U.S. rock fests.

The 2018 World’s Loudest Month will include six U.S. events during five consecutive weekends in April and May.

It was also announced that Monster Energy Fort Rock is moving to its new home in Fort Lauderdale and The Bud Light River City Rockfest is shifting to late summer.

Foo Fighters are leading the bill for the eighth annual Welcome To Rockville, with the lineup for the rest of the fests to be announced in the coming weeks.
