Slightly poppier than her last single, “What It Is About You,” “London Don’t Lie” is a catchy, booming ode about an unsteady love. The push and pull of the relationship is represented in DeMaria’s impressive vocal dynamics.

“This one is particularly close to my heart and one of my favorites to play live,” DeMaria says of the track. “It’s going to be an awesome summer.”

Bridging the gap between the punk essence of TAT and her new hip-hop infused rock singles, the EP serves as DeMaria’s breakaway release. Reminiscent of CHVRCHES and Hayley Williams, DeMaria’s upcoming debut solo EP is sure to be a modern classic for genre-bending fanatics.

“I wanted to create something that was reflective of what I’ve been through, and I didn’t want to be constrained by any stylistic boundaries,” DeMaria says. “This was a challenge to find a style for myself that felt like home—where I could really just do what I wanted to do.”

DeMaria began writing music at the age of 16 and soon found herself with two U.K. hits under her belt. Her band at the time would soon be opening for acts such as Alice Cooper and the Offspring. By taking inspiration from artists all over the map, DeMaria’s future burns bright.

Currently, DeMaria is one of the many incredible acts on Warped Tour’s final run. She will be selling advance vinyl copies of the EP on Warped, so be sure to pick one up while you can.
