See Zac Efron embody Ted Bundy in upcoming serial killer biopic

Zac Efron will portray serial killer Ted Bundy on the big screen, and we finally get a glimpse at what that will look like.

The upcoming film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile is a thriller about serial killer Ted Bundy. The film will be premiering at Sundance Film Festival on Saturday.

The first teaser trailer has been released, and it gives fans an idea as to how the popular actor will handle the huge role.

In the trailer, fans see Bundy in polarizing settings, from appearing like a loving boyfriend at home to hitting a woman over the head with a crowbar. The trailer also shows the killer showboating in court and ripping up documents on TV. Efron takes on each element of the multifaceted character in just the short clip, and it makes us so excited to see the film.

Also, The film stars Lily Collins as Elizabeth Kloepfer, Bundy’s girlfriend and Metallica’s James Hetfield as Officer Bob Hayward. Plus, actress Kaya Scodelario will be playing Carole Ann Boone, Bundy’s ex-wife, in the upcoming flick.

Bundy was a serial killer, kidnapper, rapist and burglar who assaulted and murdered several women in the ’70s. He was executed in the electric chair at Florida State Prison on Jan. 24, 1989. He confessed to 30 homicides that he committed in seven states between 1974 and 1978. However, the true victim count will forever be unknown.
