Shots fired outside Kanye West, Tekashi 6ix9ine music video set

Rappers Tekashi 6ix9ine and Kanye West were on a music video set when shots were reportedly fired at the location Thursday night (Nov. 8), according to TMZ.

It appears no one was injured during the attack. Though as TMZ notes, eight shots were fired while the two rappers were inside a Beverly Hills home rented for the music video shoot.

It was reported that West and 6ix9ine were working on a music video for a new song they are doing together for the latter’s forthcoming album.

In addition to West, Nicki Minaj was also set to take part in the video but had yet to arrive at the location before the gunfire happened.

According to TMZ, West left the scene immediately after the incident happened. He later took to Twitter to share that he was okay.

“Thank you for everyone’s prayers. Our family is safe and close.”

TMZ has reported that the incident was an apparent drive-by shooting. Production for the video has been stopped, and as the source notes, the crew have no plans on picking it back up anytime soon.

As Fox News reports, rapper 50 Cent shared a photo of what looks to be a window that was shattered by one of the bullets. He posted the picture to Instagram, where he captioned it “now somebody done shot my son video up in LA. Kanye was like [running man emoji] #positivevibes.”

Some are claiming 50 Cent is shading Kanye for leaving the site, but it’s not clear what his intentions with the post actually are.
