TesseracT are the first band to ever play on a stage made completely of ice—watch
Prog-metal powerhouses TesseracT made history earlier this year by performing a gig on a stage made entirely out of ice, (via Metal Hammer).
The stage, located in Kittila, Lapland (which is above the Arctic Circle), is part of Snow Village: A man-made community built annually from 20,000,000 kg of snow and 350,000 kg natural ice. As Metal Hammer reported, it covers an area of 20,000 square meters and boasts a fully functional hotel, ice restaurant, ice cocktail bar, chapel and cinema.
A documentary of the band's journey can be found below. Be sure to leave us a comment with your thoughts!
