That infamous The Rock meme made a return for the Thanksgiving parade
Despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Macy’s was determined to bring Thanksgiving 2020 some normalcy with its annual Thanksgiving Day Parade. Although the event happened a bit differently this year, the parade included a slew of elaborate balloons and floats. However, one particular balloon of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has truly captivated the internet’s attention.
This year, that infamous The Rock meme was brought back in larger than life fashion to give us all a laugh or two this Thanksgiving.

The Rock may be one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood, but many of us know him for that infamous meme. Yes, we mean the one with the tight black turtleneck and 90s fanny pack.

For the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Rock meme was brought back larger than ever before. The festive event included a massive balloon of the actor modeled after his iconic turtleneck and fanny pack look.
On Thursday, NBC shared a clip of the balloon along with the hashtag #youngrock, confirming that the new comedy series Young Rock is arriving in February. According to People, Young Rock “follows the wild times of Dwayne as a kid, a teen and a college footballer.”

Of course, Johnson had a few thoughts on the Macy’s Parade balloon. He also gave a special shout out to his fashionable fanny pack we will never forget about.
“Well I’ve been lucky enough to do some pretty cool shit in my life.. but after seeing my @NBCYoungRock FANNY PACK FLOAT in the #MacysThanksgivingParade this might take the cake. My plucked raised eyebrow is the stuff dreams (and nightmares) are made of.”
