The 1975 just performed “I Like America & America Likes Me”  on The Late Late Show and Matty Healy decided to mix up the stage set up by performing on James Corden’s desk.

The energetic performance was complete with Healy sporting an electric blue jumpsuit and throwing his red Converse-wearing feet onto the desk while singing.

Corden didn’t seem to mind when Healy went from just sitting at his desk to jumping around and dancing on top of it. The host hugged Healy at the end, to whom he is friends with.

Last week, the band announced they’d be returning to the U.S. to tour.

The band made the announcement via Twitter recently. The tweet listed the tour dates on an interesting image reminiscent of their latest album cover.

“// N O R T H A M E R I C A T O U R – R E Q U E S T T I C K E T S // L O V E,” the tweet reads.
The band is touring in support of their recently released chart-topping full-length, A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships, which dropped late last year.

Aside from the upcoming tour, the band is expected to drop new music ahead of their performance at Reading and Leeds Festival in August.

“I will start putting music out in August but I really don’t know when the whole album will be out / finished,” frontman Matty Healy says in an Instagram screenshot.

Dirty Hit Records boss Jamie Oborne also dropped some news on upcoming music, with an announcement expected sometime soon.

“The record is coming together. We’ve had this recording studio tour bus on the American tour which has been great for productivity…The boys have been constantly working. I can’t say exactly when it will come, there are a few elements coming together, but we will be releasing music before Reading,” says Oborne.
