The 1975 delete social media accounts, spark fan speculation
2019 has been a year of constant teasers, and the 1975 are the latest to hop on the bandwagon.
Amid their recent MTV Video Music Award nomination and late-night TV escapades, the band unplugged by deleting their Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts. Fans seem to think they’re preparing for the highly anticipated followup to A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships.

Reactions began pouring in this morning when fans realized searching for the band’s accounts now lead to error messages.
It also isn’t the first teaser the 1975 dropped pointing to their next release, Notes On A Conditional Form. Dirty Hit Records tweeted a picture from something related to the band, bearing the phrase “WAKE UP!”

The teasers are already sending fans into a frenzy, posting their reactions and predictions on what’s next.

We’ll be watching the 1975 for what’s next, even if we’re not sure where to look without social media accounts.
Aside from starting speculation on a new album, the band is expected to drop new music ahead of their performance at Reading and Leeds Festival in August.

“I will start putting music out in August but I really don’t know when the whole album will be out / finished,” frontman Matty Healy says in an Instagram screenshot.
Dirty Hit Records boss Jamie Oborne also dropped some news on upcoming music, with an announcement expected sometime soon.
“The record is coming together. We’ve had this recording studio tour bus on the American tour which has been great for productivity…The boys have been constantly working. I can’t say exactly when it will come, there are a few elements coming together, but we will be releasing music before Reading,” says Oborne.
