The Haunting of Hill House season 2 is happening and it might feature some familiar faces.

After the finale of the first season of the Netflix show, fans were skeptical about how a follow up could happen.

The solution is apparently that it will be an anthology series. The second season will be called The Haunting of Bly Manor.

It’s rumored that the new series will have the same cast as new characters, like American Horror Story. Carla Gugino (Olivia Crain) has sparked speculation after teasing that she'd love to work with creator Mike Flanagan again.

“Well, I can’t say anything definitive at this point, other than Mike and I really love collaborating and working together and any opportunity where a schedule allows for us to do that, we will, and I would be honored to,” Gugino told TheWrap.

The title suggests that the series will be based on an 1890s horror story called The Turn of the Screw. The story is about a governess who watches two orphans after the death of their parents at Bly Manor. She begins seeing ghosts, and the situation gets sinister.

People have made adaptations of the story in the past. Steven Spielberg is working on a modern film adaptation called The Turning set to release in 2020.

Similarly to the film, The Haunting of Bly Manor will head to Netflix sometime next year, so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

We’ve previously known about the second season, as the series is part of a five to six year pact that the show’s creative visionaries took with Netflix.
