The Maine open 8123 retail store, launch First Friday event to celebrate new single

Ahead of their highly anticipated album You Are Okthe Maine have relaunched the official 8123 retail store in their hometown of Phoenix on a one-year lease!

The store had its official grand opening last month during the second ever 8123 Fest. It was a massive success with thousands of fans making their way through the shop, selling out of merchandise, hosting a tattoo artist, and showing off incredible artwork made by fans.

Now, the retail store located in downtown Phoenix will open on Friday, March 1 for their First Friday event, and we can’t wait!

The event will celebrate the recent release of the band’s single “My Best Habit” and mark the official relaunch of the store.

Fans can expect restocked merchandise, brand new items, a meet & greet, giveaways, a free signed posted to the first 50 fans in attendance, and more.

The shop encompasses the Maine as a whole in the very best ways. The woodworking was done by guitarist Kennedy Brock, the photographs within the shop were taken by the band’s photographer Lupe Bustos, the merch was designed by the band’s manager Tim Kirch, and the store’s interior design was hand-picked by the band themselves.

You can check out a video of the 8123 store, below!

“We wanted to build a hub and home base for the 8123 community,” the Maine write on Medium. “A special place, one you would want to travel to, and a place to experience unique events in our hometown of Phoenix. We are always looking for new ways to connect with our fans, and the store gives us the opportunity to create real and exciting experiences for the 8123 community in-person and online.

Most bands will limit their reach to just concerts, interviews, and meet and greets. For us, that is not enough. We want to make the culture around our community more vital to the people that support us. So we asked ourselves, “What would the 8123 Clubhouse look like for our fans and what experiences could we create for them?”.”

The Maine want to make sure everyone knows this is SO much more than just another retail store.

“The 8123 store is not only about selling merchandise, it’s also a place where we can create free and personal memories for our fans. We will be hosting live podcasts, acoustic concerts, album listening parties, and even turning the keys over to some of our friends and favorite bands to take over the shop when they pass through Phoenix.”
