The Maine receives a lifetime ban from Twitter

If you’re wondering why you can’t find the band’s account anymore, the reasoning behind their missing account may surprise you: the Maine has been banned from Twitter.
The harsh ban from Twitter came because the band put their birthday as the day they formed, which makes sense, but that means they would only be 11 years old.
While that might not seem like a big deal, in Twitter’s terms of service, users must be at least 13 in order to be able to make an account.
As a result of the band’s decision of putting their actual “band birthday,” on their account, Twitter has issued a lifetime ban.
Yo @twitter you asked for a birthdate for our bands twitter account (@themaine) and now we’re banned for life? Can we not do that please? Also why do you need that info? Y’all bein sneaky over there can I get a human adult on the line

Luckily for us, it looks like Dashboard Confessional might be able to help the guys get their account back:
Yo! Just sent @timkirchmgmt a text with a contact who should be able to help! <3

We can only hope the band will be able to get the ban lifted soon.
