The Umbrella Academy Twitter account recently offered a first look at Season 3. They teased a series of character posters of the returning cast, offering a few hints about the upcoming season.

The posters depict the characters facing away from the camera, holding tattered umbrellas. They were posted in a thread with the caption "take cover" and a bird emoji. This could be a hint at a conflict with the recently revealed Sparrow Academy. And while Ben (Justin H. Min) is alive in the current timeline, he appears to have been omitted from the recently released posters.

Emmy Raver-Lampman recently said season 3 is “massive” and has a “completely different energy” in an interview with Collider. She also said that although the series is based on graphic novels by Gerard Way, series creator Steve Blackman doesn't feel beholden to follow the novels exactly. "I think there will always be a connection there, but the further we get into The Umbrella Academy, the TV show, I think it’s finding its own way. It’s finding its own route, which is exciting."
