The Cranberries' music streams jump 2,934 percent following Dolores O'Riordan's death

U.S. streams of the Cranberries' music increased 2,934 percent after singer Dolores O'Riordan died on Monday, Jan. 15.

According to Billboard, the number is so significative some of their songs might return to the charts next week.

Information from Nielsen Music shows that songs from the Cranberries were streamed 8.7 million times in the U.S. on the day of O'Riordan's death, audio and video combined.

Audio streams saw a 1,805 percent increase from Jan. 14, making up for three million of the total number of streams. Meanwhile, the Cranberries' videos were streamed 5.7 million times, which is a 4,309 percent increase from the day before.

Billboard reports the top five streaming songs during that time were: “Zombie” (streamed 2 million times), “Linger” (1.6 million), “Dreams” (1.3 million), “Ode To My Family” (554,000) and “When You’re Gone” (432,000).
